a better way to impersonate npcs |

/impersonate target, with a target selected, and then your /say and /shout and /me works with the target's name
The gm team wishes for an easier way to impersonate npcs, perhaps take over the npc and be able to use normal chat commands and they come out as you are speaking as the npc without having to use target and target the npc. |

Flying carpet exploit: Flying Furniture. |

Hehehe, I just had a good laugh at this bug. It just looked so funny :P
-Enable collision detection in Hydlaa Plaza.
-Drop a bed.
-Jump up, so you land on top of the bed.
-Pick up the bed.
-You are still up in the air.
-Drop the bed again.
-Jump up the bed.
-Pick up the bed.
-You are even higher in the air.
Continue this until you reach amazing heights. To fly forwards or backwards you can walk to one of the ends of the bed before picking it up again.
Obviously collision detection won't be enabled for Hydlaa Plaza and other areas, but only for guild halls for now. Still, players would be able to make items fly anywhere using this method. I'm not sure how this can be fixed, but when spawned items should just fall down until they hit solid ground, just like happens with players now. |

Icon for disabled items |

With trunk, equipped items whose requirements are not met at the moment are disabled (old bt #2618). There should be a visual indication of this in the inventory view. Quote:

Yes, perhaps the art team can make a translucent PNG with a big red cross on it and this one can be overlayed on your equipped item's icon. That would show that your item is not working. Perhaps something more subtle can be made too, although a red cross would be clear. |

Replace damage values with descriptive phrases |

It would be more IC (and more interesting) if damage values were replaced with semi-randomised descriptive text. For example:
"You attack Cutthroat on the legs for 120 damage!" could become "You [amount] [type] Cutthroat [location]!" where
[amount] = hardly, just barely, violently, savagely, brutally
[type] = scratch, cut, stab, smash, crush
according to the amount of damage and the type of attacks the weapon is capable of. |

When you see trainers' skills (Nature Intuition) you notice that they are zero skilled in what they teach. It would be nice and congruent to have a Harnquist with high levels of metallurgy, repair weapons, etc. an so on.
Maybe this is not implemented because it will give hints about each trainer capabilities. |

It would be nice if there was a command to reload the GUI without having to restart PS each time you change something. This would make customising GUIs considerably less painful. |

You always receive group loot when you're in a guildhou... |

Normally when you're in a group and one of your members is fighting, you only receive a part of the loot when you're in a close enough range. When you are in a guildhouse, however, you always receive loot. When you step out the door you are "too far away" again.
I was told by a player and then confirmed it. |

Key combos rarely make me turn around and around |

It is hard to reproduce, quite random. May be related to switching apps (Alt+Tab) or pressing several cursor keys in a combination or order - but in the result, I keep turning around and around ... (without pressing any key), and only pressing AutoRun twice makes me stop turning again. While turning (usually to the right), pressing "left" barely stops me turning. |

Now we have space for 200 shortcuts/Macros it would be useful if one could group sets of shortcuts into their own subwindow so one could have a window for combat shortcuts, a window for crafting, a window for RP shortcuts etc.
It could be fixed 4x20 8x10 or user selectable |

Greeting while sitting |

When sitting, I think it should be possible to greet someone without standing up. It is a bit awkward to be sitting, and then stand and wave at someone and sit back down. I'm not sure if it is hard to implement the "wave" action while sitting, but that is what I think the effect should be. Just sit and wave. If you don't think that "/greet" is appropriate while sitting, then perhaps just implement a visual "/wave" that can work when standing or sitting, although the only difference between the two are the system message. |

Ability to name a sack |

I would love the ability to name a sack. Sacks used in quests have names, so why not sacks that are bought from NPC's? I often separate my inventory into sacks to keep things clean and would like to name one sack "Quest Items", another "Books", another "Weapons", etc. |

different adaptive distance setting for different zones |
2009-04-02 |
Andrew Craig |

As in title,
The default for a zone would be no adaptive distance.
In the options part with the adaptive distance, normal distance and the other stuff, you get select box where is every zone you can load in PS, or rather only these zones you visited at least once.
You can choose it and set the distance settings for it.
While you are in a given zone and you open options, it is that zone, which is selected by default from the select box.
The reson is that, while i Hydlaa i would like to have adaptive distance 50. I want it completly off in terrain zones, where my performance is good enough, so i don't want to see only 50m away.
Switching it on and off sounds like a terrible idea, especially now, as the pointer lags. |
